This appendix documents the IDLE command, and is provided for inclusion in your own power management documentation.

IDLE

Format

IDLE ON¦OFF

Explanation

The IDLE command enables and disables the BatteryMAX device driver; IDLE OFF disables the device driver, while IDLE ON enables the device driver.

You may wish to disable idle detection if it affects one of your applications adversely, or if you want to demonstrate the benefits of idle detection to yourself or others.

Example

C>IDLE OFF

disables the BatteryMAX device driver.
